Saturday was a day for a ton of work in the yard--we have way too much to do. Since Nick put a trampoline in the ground a few weeks ago, we have a dirt pile the size of a mountain next to it. Who knows when we are ever going to get rid of that muddy disaster. We did a ton of weeding, raking, clearing--really not my favorite thing to do. Probably because I can never and I mean NEVER work out there without coming in with poison ivy on me. I'm itching like crazy on my arms right now. We wrapped up late afternoon and decided to head to the river with Johnny, Kelley and a few handfuls of kids. It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon and I'm so glad we did it. While the guys loaded boats and life jackets and gear, I snapped lots of cute photos of the boys in this beautiful field of dandelions.
They were loving this sunny sea of yellow.
The hours on the river were a great reprieve and we all had a fabulous time.
Little guy showed his stuff in a kayak and was quite impressive--no swimming for him!
The tragedy of the afternoon, was the battery on the camera went dead so I couldn't capture the
incredible river banks filled with miles of bluebells. I have NEVER seen anything like it; it was so beautiful. They spread as far as you could see and completely covered the ground. I was so bummed in fact, that we're going back next weekend to see if they'll give me another chance.

once again....Why am I not there! Cute pictures of the boys. I really need to get out there for a week. The thought of lucketts, lunches, sisters and great scenery sounds so great right now. PS... I had a special visitor...
Ditto, thanks for telling me about the special visitor. at least i think i know what i am talking about.
Well then, get your booty out here--duh!
same time and place this Saturday. We have to make Jayne and Jek jealous so they will talk their husbands into coming and living out here.
