HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This one felt a little like going through the motions--as is evident by the oldest two (& me) protesting the get-up.  Thanks to A & E for keeping our traditions alive!  Bring on Christmas!

I'm a Zombie

Only my kids will fully appreciate the title. They play a game called, "I'm a Zombie" wherein they walk around the house moaning, "Iiiiimmmm a Zaaawwmmmbie" for endless amounts of time. That's it. That's the game. And today, that's me, stuck between the two worlds. Nick took the four to the forest to start the take-down and I can't decide what to do. Should I throw up the shutters of day and get something done, or disappear under the down and sleep away my whooping cough. I'm opting to stay in bed, awake. I have a hard time committing to either side--too sick for full-force but too charged by the solitude to sleep. What's wrong with me?
Oh yeah.... Iiiiiiimmmm a Zaaawwmmmbie."

OCTOBER 31

Two somber clowns, a Russian princess with a $2,000 costume and a 80's workout chick. Lookin' good kids!

In keeping with tradition.. the pre trick or treat at Anjie and Eric's. Kids are growing.. Some taller than others--well done stilt boy.

No one could figure out why Naomi was going ballistic during the group photo. Jayne finally realized it's cause she hated the look of Eric.

Can you blame her?

Adornable!

Chief! at the gate

Go big or go home!

Nicholas spent the night cruising around Kentlands on stilts. People could hardly believe how good he was and he got stopped constantly to take pics with people. Pretty impressive! He got his mother's coordination and his daddy's desire to stand out in the crowd!

Visit Daddy at work day!

Black Sabbath

This was the first year in many, we didn't venture out to the forest on Halloween. I'd like to request that Halloween never fall on a Sunday again. It really throws me off and I was in a funk for the night. waaaah...... The Trunk or Treat was fun and fulfilled the kids Halloween expectations... so I don't know why I was on one.. guess I just don't like things different? In reality, it was pretty nice taking a year off from tromping all through Kentlands by myself. Though they went with their cousins anyway, while I sat on Jill's couch holding her darling bitsy baby and Dad played chess with Nicholas-- who too, was out of sorts. That kid is the boy version of me. Sorry kid.

Jek spoke the leftovers.
She's one of those lucky gals who can eat seven lbs of candy and not gain an ounce!
Good for you, Jek! Have another Milk Dud!
