Eye Candy

I drove out to the shop today with the littlest chick.  It was a nice drive.  There is a huge sale this weekend so I brought out a ginormous stash of jewelry. Donna, the owner is so nice she is always so thrilled to see the baby and spoils her by giving her chocolate kisses and cookies the whole time we're there.

She recently redid the little room behind the store and I think it is just breathtaking.  She's been collecting dresses for most of her life and recently decided to display some and sell some. Man, they just don't make them like they used to!

I told her the the Shabby Chic store in New York has the very same thing; vintage dresses are hanging from the ceiling and in the front window.  Some of them are to die for.

Camille just loved it in here.  She just kept saying, "it's bootiful right Mommy?"  I took her picture in front of her favorite pink dress but it turned out blurry.

Sometimes I dread the drive out to my store, but once I get going I am always relaxed by the beautiful drive and the fun eye candy at the shop.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could go back to that time, where women were so feminine?
I loved seeing that pretty stuff.

Amen to everything said!

I have been so exited seeing all of the pretty places and decor that surround you. I don't think I have ever known someone to have so much of the same tastes as me in decorating. It is so fun to see what you post next!!

Are there lots of cute shops in VA? Maybe it won't be so bad going to see my brother there ( he is doing his last years of Residency in the hospital there. ) I will have to see if this shop you go to is anywhere near where he is. I just know my Bro isn't going to know where all the " Darling shops" are!!

Thanks for sharing!

This place "pinked" me too death!! Not a very good place for a woman who is pregnant with her 4th boy..... I felt like cutting those cute pink dresses up with a machete.

Thanks for rubbing it in Kim. You are rude. I need a little brown girl. It seems that Lilli and Rosie's mom cannot help herself. Send her my way. Yes, Jennifer lives in a magazine. There is only one messy room in her house and it is locked up tight. Soon to be a library and looking quite magazinish as well. Where will you put clutter my dear?
