"Head"in for the Sand!
At 5:00 we leave the beach and head to the boardwalk. The Eastern beaches have boardwalks that are so much fun. Tons of pizza joints, Thrasher fries, gift shops, swimming suit stores, souvenir shops, shell shops, candy stores and on and on. But the best is FUNLAND. We love it there. The rides all take tickets and most of them have a real vintage feel to them. The picture above is of Nick and the two oldest coming out of the Haunted Ride. He was SURE that with Haunted Forest guy as their dad, they would love it--I still can't believe I captured such perfect faces when they came out! They since have grown old enough to love it.
This might be one of my favorites pictures ever. They have been going on the "Hopper" together for about five years now and every summer I get a picture of it. This one kills them all. I just love their look of mutual understanding or whatever it is--before the bar comes down and locks them in. So cute to me. I love our days at the beach.

life's a beach!
Are they not the cutest little things ever?!!!
I love the pictures! You really are a good photographer. By the time I try to capture the moment on just about anything, it's blurry or over...
What a fun day in store! Lots of fun things to do where you live!
oh my gosh how funny! i loved each one more and more!
what are thrasher fries?
How fun! What a cool memory for the kids to have of the beach. The East coast seems like a wonderful place to live. The pictures you have with the green lawn & beautiful trees are so foreign to me. They remind me of the time I spent in Frederick, MD oh so long ago (1992). I'd love to visit again someday. Your kids are adorable!
I am so excited for the beach this year. part of me really does miss rehoboth and the fun night life of Funland and the shops.
I too love each of those pictures my favorite is the last one. They are so freaking cute!

Hey, I'm not sure you'll remember me but I remember you and what a great teacher/example you were. It looks like your doing great! Don't you just love the blogging world?
Sorry, forgot to tell you who I was. Audrey Porter from Kentlands Ward 1993-97.
The beach with you guys is SO MUCH FUN. I had a blast when I tagged along about 3 years ago. I remember riding that "haunted" ride with Little Miss Natalie...she didn't get scared once. (I did!) Too cute!
Oh brother, that is a prize winning photo.
And don't forget DE has tax-free shopping, especially in Rehoboth with the 3 different outlets!
