maggie and milly and molly and may
by e.e. cummings
maggie and milly and molly and may
went to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and
milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles; and
may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone
For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea

Welcome back! What awesome pictures of your beach adventures. It looks like you had a blast! Very envious! -Suzanne
Glad your back, even if your not sure you want to be!
I of course love the photography!
I really hope you start the Twilight books. ~ Although it's better to start when you don't have much going on, because they will take you away from everything else, so maybe not now???
Great pictures. I am not sure why you dont like your camera, those pictures look great! i miss that place and miss everyone so much. That week really was great, wasn't it? All those kids are so freaking cute.
Yeah! My friends are back! I love the pictures. It looks like you guys had a great time!
those pictures are seriously sooo good! do you have like a special program on your computer to edit? or a really expensive camera? the summer trips are the best!
What nice comments!
The pictures are precious and the poem I love, especially the last stanza.
Thanks for the compliment Lex. I actually want an SLR camera because they take much clearer photos (and are more consistent) than lots of mine. My camera is a canon powershot which is good but I think I'm realizing I might as well spring for something I can really love. I use the mac adjustments on iphoto for lots of my pictures--it helps a lot--with lighting etc.
I know everyone else said this already but I love the pictures! I miss the beach. To answer your question, yes we are going to Hawaii for Richard's first duty station. We have to be there before June 1, 2009. We'll probably be stationed there for 3 years. And yes, you should take advantage of this and come visit me. Lots.
I LOVE all of the pictures! Everyone looks like they had such a great time. Welcome back.
BTW, I work for an airline out on the ramp.
