Country Charm

Last weekend Nick had to drive out to Sugar Loaf Mountain to set up wedding lights in the Pratt Barn.  There had just been a huge storm with massive thunder, lightening and hail, so our power was out.  Rather than sit at home, we all decided to drive out with him; I figured I'd just sit in the car with a book and wait.  Things changed when we turned the bend and the farm came into view.  It was literally breathtaking!  There was light fog at the base of the mountain and everything was so green and lush--it was purely idyllic.  We ended up seeing some friends out there and spent the next two hours visiting and picking blackberries and peaches.  The lighting was awesome and I got such great pictures.  Nicholas isn't in any cause sadly, he took the book/car option--Harry Potter second time around--I guess I can't blame him.
It was a wonderful evening of unexpected beauty.

Wow what great pictures! That really does look gorgeous. The kids look so cute! I can't believe Mitchell is in Kindergaten next week. So sad!

Man the country is beautiful out there. I like the unexpected surprises, especially unbelievable experiences I wasn't expecting. Jealous you were able to pick a peach tree. My mom wants peaches and I cannot find a tree anywhere near me!

Great shots Jennifer, (as always!) You have such a talent!

I was wondering why as soon as John finished looking at your blog asked if we had any peaches or raspberries. Those look so good. I have to say those pictures make me think I would want to live out in the country.

Haha! Those pictures are rad. The one of mitchell up top looks really cool. He's a bit animated in it, but it's still really cute. I'm excited for you to get the SLR. Then you'll REALLY be gettin to work.

These last two posts are fantastic. :) (love your introspection...) This photo collage is BEAUTIFUL. I am so ready for the Vegas August dog days of summer to be over...I am slightly envious.

PS - I was just thinking the same thing as Jessica's. You both would be so jealous of my desert landscaping...
