Would this scare you?
Then.. last night...dead asleep at 1:30 when the phone rings again. PRIVATE. My heart froze because I figured it was probably the same guy as the morning before. I said "hello" and the guy on the other end said in little more than a whisper and an accent, "Don't you wanna talk to me. Don't you want too?" He sounded so freaky so I hung it up and told Nick. Then immediately the phone started ringing again! Nick said don't answer and for some PSYCHOTIC reason the answering machine didn't pick it up so the phone literally rang for about a minute and a half straight. I seriously felt so sick. Finally, I picked it up and clicked off then on again--then listened--he was still there! So I clicked it off again--then on--this time it was the dial tone. Then we switched our phone to not accept blocked numbers. But, now I'm scared he's gonna come GET ME! I know I'm over-reacting, but talk about creepy.

Creepy and Freaky! Yes! I would be terrified! ~But I've seen to many horror flicks that have to do with someone calling like that!
I hope it's over, and you don't have any more problems!
Yes, I would be freaked! But, be glad that Nick was there. Can you imagine if he was out of town on a trip? That would be 10 times more scary!
SCARY! I would totally be freaked out! oh I so wish that answering machine had picked it up for you.. that is just torture!
SO CREEPY! Why do people do this? It's not right. One of Richard's friends left his cell phone at a bar and some bum picked it and started making nasty calls to all the people in the contact list, including us, in the middle of the night. It really makes you feel vulnerable when you hear stuff like this happening. I'm so glad Nick was there for you! Hopefully, this is the end of it.
I'd put a gun under your pillow! I'm kidding. But those middle of the night calls get you shakin' like nothing else! Sorry.
I wouldn't be able to sleep for weeks, of course I am afraid of the dark...
Hopefully this is the end of the creepy nightime caller!
Try having those calls for 5 months straight! One night they called me 17 times and wouldn't ease up! Sometimes I could hear someone walking outside (through the phone) and unlocking their door. I was going to call a detective because it got really creepy! I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!
Oh man, my heart goes out to you! Creepy men calling at night would be high on my NEVER want to have happen list! If it continues, I believe you can press *67 or something like that and it will give you the number. If not I would definately call the police if he continues!! So sorry! -Suzanne
That's called payback Jayne for all your prank calls!!!!
Oh Jayne! I remember that now...I was so scared you were going to be killed.
Yeah, well at least you didn't wake up saying "whatever, I take you both!!" While yelling at Aunt Mary Seamen(?) and Grandma Katy in my dream meaning i can beat them both up at the same time. Ha. Yeah, we were all at a high school football game. I'm guessing i must have insulted the Rams in the dream?
Oh yeah, forgot that this post wasn't about a dream; it was about a phone call. Yeah yeah yeah, that sounds scary too. It was probably John Powers. Sis lets him have phone time while she is resting. Don't get too worked up about it.
Mitch you're a loon. Who's your daddy?
Yeah hope the calls end once and for all!
In college, we kept getting random calls in the middle of the day(where it was dead silence but you know someone had to be on there since there was NO dial tone) I was fed up with my roommate answering the phone so often (this was before caller ID) saying longer variations of this: "Hello, hello, is anyone there?" It had happened at least 10 times or more in a few days. One time I remember answering it, listening to be sure it was the same silence and dropped the phone so the receiver just hung there under the phone, and I left the room. It was a good 30 min or so before the warning sounded saying the phone was off the hook. That FINALLY ended our weird caller.
I am scared. right now my heart is pounding!
It's random I am sure, I did a fair amount of prank calling back in the day.
Oh my! I'm glad your husband was home - can you imagine if he wasn't? It would be like living a scary movie. You have nerves of steel!
Thanks for the sympathy people!
