It is Found

This is the closest I've ever come to finding my dream home. There are some dang amazing ones in DC, though. I saw this in Country Living and loved it instantly. I cannot begin to describe how much I love this house. I would kill to live in something this ornate. I love the attic windows all the trim work, the huge side porch, those chimneys, the size, the color..... I might want it to be all painted brick or smooth surface, rather than wood siding, though. And why is their no landscaping? Big mistake. Also, an old brick walkway would look so pretty and inviting. Wow, what I would do..... I love this house. Yo Nick! Get a raise and start looking for property. Dream a little dream.

We are having the most beautiful day here. The windows are open and it's raining steadily but so gently you can barely hear it. It's a day for Enya and Peppermint Tea. I'm not nearly so lonesome for summer today.

More on the house HERE.

That house is a gorgeous one. I'm sure Ann will be drooling over it too. I agree with you on the landscaping and brick path and such, it would make it much more inviting.

One of my favorite memories was when I traveled with my mom in the South and say all the old mansions. Mount Vernon and Andrew Jackson's house I loved, and they were pretty similar (in some ways) to this one.

You got great taste!

Even i can appreciate how sick that house really is. I would love to live in something like that too. When i'm rich, i'll buy you a few. Just so you can spend the rest of your days in your own little fantasy world; Designing and redoing, designing and redoing.

If you had the rest of that article, there is landscaping and the inside is to die for. The owner is a designer and she knows her stuff! I'm glad you're enjoying peace and quiet, I on the other hand have two girls that didn't take naps and are driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness I prayed for patience last night, because He has DEFINITELY delivered today!!!

j-mark,
When I look at that house, I get carried away wondering if there's a secret passage to a hidden room full of antique goodies. Maybe a dusty trunk with old pictures and clothes inside. There might be a flase bottom in the trunk where a lost copy of The Constitution hides silently. Perhaps an original signed first edition of "The Count of Monte Cristo"? I wonder...

Yes my friend.. I saw this one too. Country Living and Country Cottages are 2 of my favorite magazines.. There is a few homes in the avenues in Salt Lake like this one, and when I'm up there, I don't want to leave.

I'm all about the brick paths too..

I'm probably not going to ever have a home here on earth like this one, but in heaven, I hope we can decide EXACTLY what we want our mansion to be.. :)

BTW: I'm sending you an e-mail. I hope you get it. Sometimes my computers funky!

How can you not love the wrap around porch? I loved everything about that house. I can only imagine what the attic feels like with those windows. Don't you just love to dream? I agree, you deserve that house! Maybe your neighbors might like you in that home, although I do not know why anyone would not like you guys? -Suzanne

Yes, don't be upset when I am living in that exact house that Jon built for me. I LOVE IT. It is one of a kind and gorgeous. There is a home that I love that is SORT of similiar in downtown Provo, and Jon has promised to build that... however; I might have my eyes set on this one dearest.

Only in my dreams will it actually happen

I am going to have to check out the issue so I can see the inside. That attic space would make an amazing studio!

Oh it's so beautiful, my mind is going a mile a minute remembering all the architectural details I learned from my historical class in school.
I believe people with good taste and style deserve the house of their dreams because they will keep it looking beautiful! But that's not always the case... one of life's true cruelties.
It was so good to see you yesterday!
