The Enchanted Forest
Remember that little cottage in the woods a few posts back--well this is what's in the backyard: fairies, elves and all manner of enchantment. Nick's mom has wanted to do an "Enchanted Forest" for years, and this October she brought it to life. She and her husband marked a trail in the woods behind their cottage and built little scenes depicting legends and stories then invited her favorite grandkids, daughters and daughters in law to work in it.
The littluns were more than eager to do it since they're not old enough for the real deal across the fields. This is the perfect warm up for the Haunted Forest and they were delighted to be a part of something so magical created by their grandmother. 
Mother Goose greets the groups then leads them through each story. Every scene is interactive and caters to the really young--nothing scary here.

HOW MAGICAL! I swear that is no fair. I want to be out there so bad for that kind of crap! Those costumes and that face paint is great. Mitchell's face looks spectacular!

The wardrobe is my favorite. Your kids live such an enchanting life... Everything looks like it's so well done. Was this open to the public or just a family thing??

What darling pictures. These Markoffs really are inspiring. Their isn't anything they can't do. They are so creative and fun. I feel so lucky to know them and that my kids get to experience things I would never have imagined.
