Carseat Chatter
or
My Dad's Cooler than Your Dad!
(the contenders)
Picked up Gabe from school when Anjie left town, it was only a 30 second ride but they got straight to business. Heaven help them (and their parents) should they ever date.
(read 10 decibels louder than normal with exclamation points all around)
GABE: Look Camille there's a hammer! I'm gonna play with it!
CAMILLE: No Gabe! It's not yours! It's my Daddy's. For work.
GABE: So what Camille. My dad has lots of hammers.
CAMILLE: My daddy has more hammers. My dad has all da tools.
GABE: Oh yeah, Camille. Well my dad is very, VERY special.
CAMILLE: Well, my daddy does everything! He works at the boo (blue) house.
GABE: Well, my dad works with lots of people and he does WHATEVER he wants!!
CAMILLE: Well........ my dad goes in his kayak!
GABE: Oh yeah, Camille!! (pause. pause.) My dad kicked someone's head off once!
CAMILLE: ..............................................(can't touch that)

I will be the first comment. "Oh the things you learn from your peeps while driving around in the car." More than once I turned around and said: "What did you say?" Life is great. Aunt Nancy
THe best car qoute of all time is when Jayne as a probably 4 yr old said "dad, i color faster than you drive." Second all time best was when Mitch was mad at mom and dad about them oweing him like $30.00 and as he was almost in tears yelled "I practically paid for our whole house!!!" Did i get that right?
That was a funny post Jenn!!
Hilarious! The best stuff always gets said in the car.
Hahaha that is so so funny. And jek, it was 41 dollars. I did run out of the house furious, and thoroughly convinced i had paid for most of the house. Apparently they used the money for our disneyland trip. Little do they know that i have charged them 6% interest ever since. They'll be seeing that bill very soon. I'm excited for round two.
That was really funny! For sure Camille was being territorial over the hammer.
Jek, funny comment. I would have NEVER remembered that, but now that you say it, I do. I think I might have been older than four. But my humor has always been up there with the best of them.
I am not sure what to say other than, Gabe is a very special child and he REALLY loves his daddy! I knew when Gabe saw his daddy kicking someone's head off, he would be scarred for life. I am no fan of violence...... I am sure they will date and maybe even marry. They are made for each other. Dead mice and all... Funny post! Even funnier all written up!!
Notice the pic changed....any guesses why?
So dang cute!
I love the fun things our kids say as long as it is good...
When I was a primary teacher, I heard and learned alot more about some of the kids parents than I wanted to know....
Cute! Cute! Cute!
I love hearing about all the funny things kids say. I still remember getting into a fight with my best friend in 1st grade over who's dad was more important-hers (a doctor) or mine (an engineer).
I can't wait to hear about round 2.
Oh, and can you please tell jek thank you for the nice comment on my blog. I guess her's is private, so I can't leave one myself.
That Gabe is one character. His last comment reminded me of when I was little and when the bigger kids would pick on us, we would yell out "Im gonna knock your head off!" Because that just makes complete sense for a 4 year old to scream out. Who knew Eggy had such muscle power to do that? Quite the contest between the 2! haha! That was hilarious! -Suzanne
LOVE backseat chatter! If only we had a recorder in the car! That is adorable. :)
Gabe had most of the story correct...some guy actually cut me off in his kayak, so I jumped out of mine and knocked his head off with a hammer. Then, I kicked him really hard!
One of these days, ol' Brother Nick and I should challenge each other to a wrastling match in front of those two...see who cheers the loudest!!!
For the record, Gabe's mother is the violent one. She once squeezed the eyeballs out of a hamster at a friends house and then hid it behind her dresser...
And don't forget the kangaroo rat she slaughtered at Lake Powell! No doubt the violence comes from the Coleman line....
You two are sick and wrong. I never did anything of the sort. I am as gentle as a lamb. You must have me confused with Karen Miller!!
Freaks!!! The whole lot of ya! Kids and all!!
