Where did it go?

These boys have been best pals since birth.  Here they are at their kindergarten graduation five years ago.  Sweet little things...baby teeth still intact...got each other in the neck grip.  I have photos of them at six weeks sound asleep in the same cradle--lying head to feet--those would be fun to show but that would require scanning.

Here they are today as fifth grade grads.  Not too much has changed...aside from bigger teeth, shaggier hair and mad crushes on girls.  Can't imagine life without cousins.

Causes me to picture them with little black missionary tags on their chests...snapping one last photo before they're off to the unknown.  Sadly, that'll be here before I'm ready-- no doubt. Crazy how life just cruises right along.

He's gotten older but he's still my darling little boy.  I wonder if I'll always feel this way about him...  No matter the age, I hope he lets me bring him close and hug him.

And for the record...check out the recycling going on.  Never knew I was so practical and frugal!  Nicholas above with his kindergarten teacher and.....

Mitchell today with his.  Check out the shirt...I just noticed it!  Maybe I'll put Camille in it in a few years......

That kid is so freakin cute as a kindergartner i can't even stand it. I remember that like it was yesterday. Now he just looks way too much like a stud. Try and make him a little uglier. Him and jack are going to rule their high school. Both of them are already turning heads. Love the little dude. Time flys by for sure. Sad:( Sad, only cause i'm not there with you shmucks. Noooott faaaaaiiiirrrrr.

I adore those two boys. The ones with the same shirt. Can't believe that either one of them are that old.

I know what you mean about growing up too fast. I keep thinking how fast my 8 year old has grown and he'll be leaving on a mission (hopefully) before I know it.

Your family is darling. I love the picture of you and him. Hang on to that one-it will mean the world when he's off and married with his own kids!

Dear Jennifer: What a sweet tribute to your first born. I know just what you are feeling. They can (and often do) give you grief; but, the best of all, they get married and give you the most adorable grandsons and granddaughters in the world. Enjoy every minute. Love, Nancy

P.S. One of my little darlings is now my Merrie Man (Dylan). He is learning how to clean via grandma's new apartment. Next week it is dusting. Last week it was moving furniture and washing windows. Life us good.

That is too sweet! What a precious little boy. I could have eaten back then, and he is so good looking now!

Too funny about the shirt. At least it is still in good condition~

I needed this post today as my 7 year old son is looking like a "Hill-Billie" with missing 1 front tooth for a few days and now the other one is out as well. (loved your comment about the "baby teeth still in tact).

Our sweet kids grow up too fast and I hope that mine as well will always want me to hold them tight and hug them.

You have such a creative, wonderful writing style and it is a treat to read your Blog.

What adorable kids you have and the comments from your brother are hilarious!!

Thanks for helping me reflect on my treasures (my kids) today!
