The sea, once it casts its spell,
holds you in its net of wonder forever.
--Jacques Cousteau

“Don't grow up too quickly, lest you forget how much you love the beach."

“It’s hard for me to put into words why I like the beach so much.
Everything about it is renewing for me."

“Our memories of the ocean will linger on,
long after our footprints in the sand are gone.”

"Why does the ocean rock the moon to sleep every night?
So the sun will wake and kiss the beach."

"On the beach, you can live in bliss."

“The beach is in our blood. Everyone in our family returns
to the beach instinctively, just like the sea turtles.”

“I honestly think the beach is the only place
children actually entertain themselves.”

“Why do we love the sea? It is because it has some
potent power to make us think things we like to think.”

Jennifer, this blog reminds me of our dear Icelandic ancestors who lived and died by the sea. When they came to Utah they were landlocked forever; but they never forgot the sounds, smells and feel of the sea. They did us a great sacrifice; and having lived by the Pacific Ocean for nearly 30 years, I think I can appreciate that sacrifice. Love, Aunt Nancy

In my head I was singing the song "by the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea!" I wish that I lived by the ocean! I am a water baby at heart. The closest thing I have to the ocean is a man made lake that gives kids worms. Pleasant! -Suzanne
