Bluebells, cockleshells, eevy, ivy, over...

I remember jump roping to that little chant above, and having no idea what a bluebell was, still don't know what a cockle shell is, but a bluebell is something to behold.  We made it back to the river this past Saturday and I am sure glad we did.  The bluebells were still in bloom, and we were able to make a wonderful memory wandering the island ooohing and aaahing. Nick has told me for a few years that the island (that his company owns) is covered in bluebells every spring but I never paid much attention.  He should have elaborated!

Literally, there was not one spot left uncovered; it was breathtaking!

We didn't have much time there, because it was really late in the day, and can you imagine us paddling seven kids back in the dark--don't stress Mom, we've done it before and survived!

I sure am glad I married this guy.  He has really spread so much outdoor love to my entire family.  We have all seen a whole new side of life by being exposed to the amazing and exciting side of nature.  It's wonderful to think this will be a way of life for my kids--that they will feel comfortable trekking through muddy woods, sleeping under the stars, scaling mountains, riding a horse bare-back, and paddling a kayak.

I am so grateful for the simple beauties in life.  What a beautiful day!

You know what simple beauties I like in life? The simple beauty you behold when driving from Vegas to Glendale. That's a real treasure! I almost failed to mention all the trash along I-15 from the speedway to the sulfur plant.

Seriously Unreal!!! I would have given anything to be there! Are the rapids really big right now?

Also, Mitch updated his blog with the questions. They're funny :)

Now do yours!

Jayne the rapids had to be HUGE or Johnny wouldn't have capsized... right Johnny?

....actually they were just little baby riffles.
