Progress!

Lots has been happening in the attic. The floors are stained dark brown, cupboards white, walls pale pinkish, countertop in place. It is just about time to move everything in. I am so excited to get busy on this! Up above is the left side and directly below.

Nick came up with this cute (and inexpensive) way to build a railing. We priced out a regular banister and rails and it was $500 but this way cost $80. I really like the way it turned out--kind of big and bulky--but it really fits the space. Below is the right side of the room.

The whole space is really big and spacious with plenty of light. I am super happy with the way it is turning out. He's done a great job! I am so excited to go to the ribbon outlet and hang cute ribbon all over the place and to start collecting stuff to make it beautissimo!

All there is left to do really is build in the closet and fix the stairwell. Then I'll be in business...FUN!, FUN!

First things first... how HOTTIE TOTTIE does Nick look in that picture?! The Attic is amazing. I echo what Jek says. Seriously, why am I not living out there for a while? Also, i miss the little guy in the pics. He is so darling.
Tell nick great job!

Is the railing a bed frame or did your hubby just make it himself? I think it looks amazing whatever it is. Well done!

Elisa--He made it himself from four outdoor posts--he filled in the rest to make rails.
