Drab to Fab!

Favorite Find or Fix-up

(tag for everyone!)

Great bedside lamps

I thought it'd be fun to share a favorite find or fix-up.  Mine just happens to be both.  I used to do a decent amount of thrift store shopping--still do when I think about it.  The second I walked into Salvation Army I knew these huge old lamps were mine.  They were $70 for the pair then I realized the 1/2 off tag--now that's more like it!  I brought them home and put them on either side of my bed.  I loved them but they were blah.

I livened them up with bright pink and green ribbon and painted the clear crystals lime.  I'm still not sick of them after about three years.  I do so love pink and green together.

If you have something to share (and I KNOW you do!) post a comment so we can click and see. Try to do it by the stroke of midnight on Tuesday. Deadlines are your friend.

Let us sneak a peek!

I love the show and tell idea. I have lots of goodwill at my house! We could do a show and tell weekly:) Love the lamps. You will have to wait to see my show and tell until after work.

You have such a knack! I'd love to have the eye to spot something and then make it into something great. Unfortunately, I need to see something on display in perfect form. :) Show us what else you've done!

I LOVE this idea! I know I say LOVE way too much!

I have lots of things and no before/after pictures, so maybe I'll show my kitchen. It was drab, and I personally think it's fab.
I'll try and get pictures, and make it by the deadline...

Is that your room? It's cute! I love the moulding. So, how do you paint crystals? I have never seen it done before.
Thanks for sharing your cute room with us. I think you should show us more too! :)
