Makin' your own fun

I absolutely love it when my kids all get along.  Not that they don't, but it's so awesome when they all agree on something and just go for it.  This happens a lot on Sundays when they make forts out of the sunroom cushions with pillows and a million blankets.  They are just so content to stake out their spot and stay there till it's time for church.  Funny.  I remember doing that as a kid too.  My fort scenario was always the same: we had to be on the brink of nearly freezing to death (which meant more and more blankets)  and...we always had to find an abandoned baby--who also was nearly frozen.  Poor Jill--she probably hated my ideas.  Anyway, off the subject.

Last weekend the kids made a bike ramp out of the soon to be fencing for the garden.  They were thrilled with their little invention and stayed out there playing blissfully for hours.  They eventually came in and begged to use my camera to document the fun.  I only posted five (of about 40) of the pictures.

Nicholas was especially proud of this dramatic "fall" sequence.  Again, I posted only three of about 12.  Kids crack me up.

I think we can all recall the forts covered with blankets from our youth.
I also loved it when the kids played together for a long time when you had those cherished breaks while they entertained themselves.
Cute kids.

I loved the sentance " I absolutely love it when my kids all get along". I so related after my day yesterday. They do love each other, but boy.. It seems like I'm always telling my kids to share, be nice, or play nicely...

Nicholas definitely has a future on the stage, and so does Natalie for that matter (Owlets Play).

You tell Nicholas that that looked EXTERMELY real, and that I would like for him to re-enact for me next week! Tell all of the kids they are so brave fo going off that ramp! They're all so cute
