OBAMA!

So...living near DC, you just never know who you're gonna run into!  I have been meaning to post this for a few weeks now.. but my camera's had issues.  Nick and I took the kids downtown after New Years and stopped in at the National Archives because we heard Mr. President Elect was speaking in there.  We ended up getting pretty close to the stage and were lifting the kids up to see him, when this huge secret service guy came over to me and told me put my camera away.  Oddly enough--I didn't exactly have it out (it was around my neck) but I said "Okay, then how about you get me a picture with him."  He sort of gave me this smirk like "yeah right idiot" and left.  Not two minutes later he came back and whispered in my ear that if I really wanted a picture with him he could arrange it after his speech.  Of course I was like "Are you serious??Thanks!" I told Nick what he said and he thought I was completely making it up.  That is until he came and got me twenty minutes later and lead me to the podium!!  He was really nice and smiley and looks extremely young in person (black don't crack!).  I was literally only up on the stage for about 2 seconds before they whisked me off--so it's lucky Nick caught me with my eyes open!  There were about a million camera's going off so I looked at Nick--who knows where he's looking. Crazy right?  

I was really stunned by the whole thing because there were well over a hundred people standing in the crowd and still to this day I have no idea why he singled me out in the first place...I mean everyone had camera's around their necks and in their hands.  But why question?  Pretty cool....
