Nick's dad called at 2:30 this afternoon...
Chief: Hey Jen, where's Nick?
Me: Uhh, I guess at work.
Chief: Well, I got a call yesterday saying I missed jury duty last week and that it was rescheduled for today at 8 a.m. So I go down there and it turns out they were looking for Nicholas "C" Markoff.
Me: Oh crap, so he's missed it twice?! (rifling through mail) Oh, yup, I'm going through the mail and here it is I can't believe we didn't see this... 8 am, August 11th. Man, what should he do?
Chief: What should he do?! Nothin! I said I was him and stayed and did it. Tell him to forget about it. He can thank me later.
Ahhh...you gotta love a guy who ain't afraid to trick the system.

The Chief is the BEST! Been covering the tracks of those 3 heathens for years. Just think...Nick Jr. will soon be paying it forward with Nick III!
I am sure that Nicholas will soon look forward to his Father filling in for him too. Just like Nick did for me at the testing center at BYU so I could pass that stupid Physical Science class! Don't worry, I repented for that long ago!
Oh Chief is the best! A man of my own heart, finding a way around things is what I love to do! Very cool of him!

Let's not forget who named Chief, the Chief. Maybe I am as cool as the Chief, just for naming him as such...but probably not yet. I need to have a few more life experiences and a few more broken finger to be as cool as that man. I love the Chief. Sounds like you both owe the man BIG TIME!!!
